Children & Adolescents

Because your child’s mental health matters—and so does your peace of mind.
We know how hard it is to watch your child struggle and not know how to help. Whether it’s anxiety, sadness, behavior changes, school issues, or something you can’t quite put your finger on—you just want your child to feel better, and to feel like themselves again.
We’re here to walk beside you. Our team offers compassionate, culturally aware counseling for children and teens, beginning at age 5, to support their emotional wellness and give families the tools they need to grow and thrive—together.

When to Seek Help

You know your child best. If you’ve noticed shifts in their mood, behavior, or relationships that don’t seem to be getting better, it may be time to reach out.
We commonly support children and adolescents dealing with:

  • Anxiety or constant worry
  • Sadness, isolation, or low self-esteem
  • Big emotions that feel out of control (anger, fear, frustration)
  • School refusal or academic stress
  • Trouble focusing or sitting still
  • Social struggles or peer conflict
  • Family changes like divorce, loss, or relocation
  • Identity exploration and questions around gender or sexuality
  • Effects of trauma, bullying, or discrimination

You don’t need to have all the answers. That’s what we’re here for.

How We Help

We create a safe, supportive space where young people can explore what they’re feeling, build confidence, and develop healthy coping tools. Our therapists use age-appropriate approaches including talk therapy, play-based techniques, mindfulness, and expressive activities to meet each child or teen where they are.
We also work closely with parents and caregivers—because your insight, involvement, and love are key to long-term healing and growth.

What Makes Our Approach Different

Relationship-First: Kids open up when they feel safe. We take time to build trust, so they feel seen, heard, and respected.
Culturally Responsive: We recognize how race, identity, and lived experience impact mental health—and we create space to honor those truths.
Family-Inclusive: While your child is our focus, we make sure you’re supported too. We provide guidance, updates, and parenting strategies throughout the process.
Trauma-Informed: Many of our young clients have experienced hardship or harm. We respond with care, patience, and practices that center safety and resilience.

You Are Not Failing as a Parent

Seeking help isn’t a sign that something is wrong with your child—it’s a sign that you care deeply and are taking proactive steps to support their well-being. In fact, many parents tell us that starting counseling gave them a deeper connection with their child and brought more peace to the whole family.
Let’s work together to support your child’s emotional health and future.
