Jennifer A. McPherson, MS, EMBA, LPC, LPCMH, NCC
Owner & Clinical Director
Jennifer A. McPherson, MS, EMBA, LPC, LPCMH, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Executive Coach, and Clinical Director with active licensure in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Florida. She is the founder of McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services, a hybrid group practice rooted in culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. Jennifer’s work centers the emotional wellness of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities—individuals who have often been left out or harmed by traditional mental health systems—and offers a safe, affirming space for healing, growth, and restoration.
A native of Philadelphia, Jennifer brings over a decade of clinical experience and a deep commitment to social justice, advocacy, and empowerment. She supports clients who are navigating the weight of race-based trauma, identity-related stress, chronic anxiety, or emotional exhaustion. Many of her clients are high-achieving professionals, caregivers, creatives, and healers who are seeking to reconnect with themselves after years of masking, managing, or surviving. Her therapeutic approach is both clinical and intuitive, drawing on modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients access the parts of themselves that are most in need of care.
Jennifer earned her BA in Psychology from Temple University, an MS in Counseling & Clinical Health Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and an Executive MBA in Healthcare from Saint Joseph’s University. Her leadership has been recognized nationally; under her direction, McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services has been named Best Mental Health Service in Wyncote, PA in both 2022 and 2023. In 2024, she was selected for the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, where she continues to expand the practice’s reach with the vision of becoming a nationwide provider of inclusive, accessible mental health care.
In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer is a two-time Amazon bestselling author, sought-after public speaker, and an executive coach. She also serves as a clinical supervisor, offering guidance and mentorship to pre-licensed BIPOC clinicians working toward licensure in the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Across all of her roles, she is known for creating spaces where authenticity is honored, boundaries are affirmed, and clients are empowered to reclaim their voices.
Jennifer’s mission is clear: to increase access to quality mental health care for marginalized communities, support the development of future therapists and leaders, and help individuals live fuller, freer lives. Through psychotherapy, coaching, consulting, and education, she continues to dismantle stigma and build pathways to healing for those who have been historically excluded or underserved.
