Our Story

McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services was born out of passion, purpose, and a vision for change. Founded in January 2018 by Jennifer A. McPherson, the practice began as a solo, part-time, virtual mental health service. Having worked in corporate healthcare, Jennifer witnessed firsthand the barriers and disparities that BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals faced when seeking mental health care-limited representation, lack of accessibility, and pervasive stigma. Determined to make a difference, she set out to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for her community.

Fueled by word-of-mouth referrals and an unwavering commitment to culturally aware, evidence-based care, the practice quickly grew into a full-time endeavor by August 2019. In 2020, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services expanded into a thriving group practice based in Jenkintown, PA. By 2021, it had outgrown its original space, moving to a larger location in Wyncote, PA to better serve its growing team and clientele.

Today, McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services is more than a mental health practice-it's a hub for transformation. With services now spanning Pennsylvania and Delaware, we've expanded to include coaching, healthcare consulting, behavioral health management, supervision, training, and more. At every step, our mission remains clear: to break down barriers, uplift communities, and ensure that every individual has access to the high-quality care and support they deserve.
